TrarrenTech ("TrarrenTech," "we," "our," or "us") is a brand operated by an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use TrarrenShot, our macOS screenshot and annotation application.

TrarrenShot is designed with privacy in mind — we do not collect or transmit personal data unless explicitly stated.

1. Personal Information

We do not collect personally identifiable information. TrarrenShot does not track your name, email address, IP address, or any identity-related data.

2. Screen Recording Permission

TrarrenShot requests macOS Screen Recording permission solely to capture screenshots and provide on-screen capture tools explicitly initiated by the user, including full screen, window, and region captures.

• User-initiated only: Screen recording access is used only at the moment you trigger a capture or use related tools (such as capture preview, magnifier, or color sampling).
• TrarrenShot does not perform continuous screen recording, does not record audio, and does not monitor your screen in the background.
• Screen recording is never accessed automatically or without a direct user action.

3. Screenshot Data

• Screenshots, annotations, and captured images are processed entirely and locally on your device.
• We never upload or store screenshot content on external servers unless you explicitly share or export it using macOS system sharing features.
• No screenshot content is transmitted to us or third parties.

4. Local Preferences

TrarrenShot stores app settings locally on your device, including:

• Capture preferences
• Hotkey configurations
• Annotation tool settings
• Menu bar behavior

How We Use Your Information

Information processed by the app is used solely to:

• Enable screenshot and annotation features
• Improve app performance and stability
• Provide customized settings

Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage Only: Screenshot data and preferences remain on your Mac.
• No Cloud Uploads: Unless you manually export or share content.

TrarrenShot does not currently integrate any third-party services that collect or process user data.

In-App Purchases

• Payments are handled by Apple's App Store.
• We do not collect or store payment information.
• Purchase receipts remain on your device and with Apple.

Accessibility Permissions

TrarrenShot may request Accessibility permissions for features such as global hotkeys. These permissions:

• Are required only to detect system-level key events
• Do not provide access to your personal information

Children's Privacy

TrarrenShot is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
